UYO, RT. Hon. Unyime Idem has paid a glowing tribute to the late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, for her visionary leadership in establishing the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), a pet project aimed at uplifting the underserved in society.
Idem’s commendation was part of his goodwill message at the first anniversary celebration of GIFA, held in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital. He acknowledged the programme’s significant impact on the lives of vulnerable and indigent families in the state.
Represented by a former Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Matthew Ekaete, Idem also lauded Governor Pastor Umo Eno for sustaining his late wife’s legacy by appointing Lady Helen Obareki to lead GIFA. He noted that under Obareki’s leadership, the initiative has grown to national prominence, furthering its mission of providing succour to the less privileged.
Idem pledged his continued support for GIFA and expressed optimism that the initiative would expand its reach in the coming years, positively affecting more lives across the state.
