The village of ONNA, Akwa Ibom State, witnessed an outpouring of love and support from the Nigerian film industry as Nollywood stars gathered to stand by one of their own, Ini Edo, during her father’s final rites.
The celebrated actress, who lost her father a few weeks ago, received an overwhelming show of solidarity from her colleagues, who traveled to Onna to join her family in giving the late patriarch a befitting burial.
Among the prominent Nollywood figures present were Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic, Desmond Elliot, Mary Remmy Njoku, Nancy Isime, IK Ogbonna, Lilian Afegbai, and Ruth Kadiri. Their presence underscored the strong bond and camaraderie within the entertainment industry, as they mourned with Ini Edo and her family.
The event was marked by solemn tributes, prayers, and moments of reflection on the life and legacy of the late Mr. Edo. The actress, known for her stellar performances on screen, expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during her time of grief.
The burial ceremony was attended by family members, friends, and well-wishers who came together to honor the life of the deceased.
