As Christians, we are called to stand firm against the unseen forces that seek to derail destinies, hinder breakthroughs, and keep people in perpetual bondage. This was the central theme of the powerful Sunday message delivered by Pastor Emmanuel at MFM International Headquarters, during the special service at MFM Kubwa Regional Headquarters, Abuja, on March 21, 2025.
Understanding the Mystery of Altars
The message drew from Deuteronomy 12:1-3 and 1 Kings 13:1-5, where God commands the destruction of evil altars, emphasizing that life is not only physical but also spiritual. Those who take life casually risk becoming casualties in the spiritual warfare that shapes earthly realities.
What is an altar?
An altar is more than just a physical place of worship—it is a spiritual gateway that connects the physical world with the supernatural realm. In both godly and evil contexts, altars serve as platforms where sacrifices are made, destinies are exchanged, and covenants are established.
According to Pastor Rotimi Olugbule, the Mega Associate Senior Regional Overseer of MFM Kubwa Regional Headquarters, evil altars operate through various means, including:
Manipulation and Enchantment: Evil forces use altars to tamper with people’s original identities and destinies.
Photographic Attacks: Some use people’s images in rituals to afflict them with sickness, hardship, or setbacks.
Environmental Altars: Evil altars can be hidden in houses, trees (such as banana or plantain trees), or other physical objects dedicated to dark spiritual forces.
Breaking Free from Evil Altars
To counteract the influence of these altars, the congregation was urged to pray aggressively. Prayer is a powerful tool that dismantles demonic strongholds and enforces divine dominion. Some of the powerful prayer points raised included:
1. Every circle of hardship in my family, break in the name of Jesus!
2. Powers forcing me to pay for what I did not buy, die by fire in the name of Jesus!
3. Generational, family, and parental battles assigned to stop me, I disagree with you! Die, in the name of Jesus!
4. Wicked powers from my place of birth assigned to waste and destroy me, I am tired of you! Die, in the name of Jesus!
5. Any of my names attracting problems into my life, I renounce you in the name of Jesus!
The Call to Action
Believers were encouraged to take their spiritual lives seriously, as evil forces do not rest in their mission to destroy. The key to victory lies in consistent prayer, unwavering faith, and absolute dependence on God. The message concluded with a fiery session of warfare prayers, reinforcing the declaration that every evil altar must die!
As the congregation departed, there was a renewed sense of spiritual awareness and determination to stop them before they stop you!
