Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, on Monday joined the family of the late renowned evangelist and Christian leader, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, to receive the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who paid a condolence visit to the family in Uyo.

During the visit, Pastor Adeboye described his mission as one of encouragement rather than mourning, noting that Rev. Ukpai had “finished his work on earth” and left behind a strong legacy of faith and service to God.

He urged the family to take solace in the impact of the late preacher’s ministry, assuring them that the entire Christian community stands with them in this moment of grief.

Governor Eno, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to Pastor Adeboye for his show of love and solidarity with the Ukpai family, noting that his presence brought comfort not only to the bereaved family but also to the Christian community in Akwa Ibom State.

The widow of the late evangelist, Dr. Philomena Ukpai, also appreciated Pastor Adeboye for the visit and thanked Governor Eno for joining the family to receive their guest.

The event was attended by members of the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council, senior pastors of the RCCG, and other prominent ministers from within and outside the state.
