In a bold and forward-looking move, the NTAKROK Magazine has unveiled a twelve-member Editorial Team, constituted and inaugurated during the 2025 Second Quarterly General Congress of IBIYODED. The historic event took place on Friday, 23rd May 2025, at the Council Pavilion in Ikpa, Ibiono Ibom.
This newly formed editorial board, the most professionally robust in the 22-year history of the magazine is tasked with driving a renaissance in content quality, editorial depth, and public engagement.
The editorial team is led by:
Prince Asanga, Editor-in-Chief/Publisher
Hon. Moses Essien, Editorial Adviser
Mr. Solomon Okpo, Lead Consultant
Shearer Ukpong, Board Chairman
Wisdom Ebu, Board Secretary
Other distinguished members include: Ubong George, Enwongo Nseobot, Ubong Asanga, Nora Inyang, Umoh Ekanem, Stephen Uwah, and Anameti Inyang.
The inauguration also featured the presentation of the third batch of the Hon. Moses Essien Academic Grant, benefitting 110 Ibiono Ibom students across various tertiary institutions.
According to Prince Asanga JP, International President of IBIYODED, this editorial body carries a set of ambitious mandates:
Conduct exclusive interviews with key personalities across all sectors.
Source advertorials from the public and private sectors.
Commission high-value articles in arts, culture, sports, tourism, religion, agriculture, entrepreneurship, and more.
Collate goodwill messages from dignitaries and organizations.
Document and publish government activities and projects within Ibiono Ibom and Akwa Ibom State.
Enhance the technical and editorial quality of NTAKROK Magazine.
Oversee the launch and public presentation of upcoming editions.
With an eye on producing the most impactful edition of the magazine by December 2025, the board has been mandated to swing into action immediately. “We shall support the Team to succeed as much as our resources will carry us,” Prince Asanga noted, “but expect the team to also generate resources through its engagements.”
Expectations are high as NTAKROK Magazine sets a new benchmark in community-driven publishing, powered by professional excellence and a passion for local development.
