The Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Lady Helen Eno Obareki, on Easter Sunday evening, joined His Excellency, Governor Pastor Umo Eno, and other top government functionaries at the Easter Evening of Hymns 2025 held at the International Worship Center, Uyo.

The solemn and spirit-filled event featured powerful hymn renditions by various choirs and singing groups. One of the highlights of the evening was Lady Helen Obareki’s moving presentation of the “Seven Words of Jesus on the Cross.” The General Overseer of Word Tabernacle, Uyo, Bishop Gabriel Nkenang, delivered the Easter message centered on the theme, “He Arose.”

In his address, Governor Umo Eno expressed gratitude to God for the fulfillment of his vision of a united Akwa Ibom State. Reflecting on his campaign promise, the Governor said:

“Tonight, as a servant that God has given the very rare privilege to serve as Governor of Akwa Ibom State, I have fulfilled my ministry of reconciliation that God laid in my heart for Akwa Ibom.

While I was campaigning, I had said I would bring Akwa Ibomites under one roof. Tonight, that dream is fulfilled. We have had the PDP (my party) sing here tonight. We have had APC, IPAC sing here tonight in this Sanctuary…

My fathers, I have fulfilled my mission… A united Akwa Ibom State sang today.”

The Easter Evening of Hymns 2025 served as a remarkable testament to peace, unity, and spiritual harmony among the people of Akwa Ibom.
