UYO, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, has issued a strict directive prohibiting ministries, agencies, and departments of government from releasing press statements without his explicit approval.
The Governor made this declaration on Sunday while worshipping at Methodist Church Nigeria, Immanuel Cathedral, Itiam Etoi. He emphasized that henceforth, no press release shall be issued independently, warning that any violation of the order would result in immediate dismissal.
“Let this serve as the first and final warning,” Governor Eno stated firmly, underscoring his commitment to maintaining order and coherence in government communication.
The directive is expected to centralize official information dissemination and ensure that all public statements align with the government’s policies and objectives.
