Abuja, Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, has been honoured as Leadership Newspaper’s Governor of the Year 2024, in recognition of his outstanding governance and transformative leadership under the ARISE Agenda.
The prestigious award was presented during the Leadership Annual Conference and Awards ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Governor Eno was celebrated for his administration’s remarkable strides in delivering developmental dividends across the state, reflecting the practical success of his ARISE blueprint.
Accompanying the Deputy Governor to the event were top government functionaries, including the Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah; Member, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Eric Akpan; Political Adviser to the Governor, Dr. Godwin Ntukude; Special Adviser, Rt. Hon. (Mrs.) Owoidighe Ekpoattai; Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Ekerete Udoh; and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Akparawa James Edet, among other dignitaries.
The award further underscores the national recognition of Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to people-centered governance and sustainable development in Akwa Ibom State.
