In what observers are calling a divine boardroom shuffle, The Apostolic Church, Nigeria has announced that Pastor Benjamin E. Okon is set to ascend to not one, but two glorious thrones as Eket Field Superintendent and the Akwa Ibom State Territorial Vice Chairman.
The celestial double promotion will be made official on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at exactly 1pm (heavenly time, not African time), at the Territorial Headquarters in Obio Imoh, Uyo. Attendees are expected to bring their Bibles, blessings, and possibly binoculars, as the seats of power may be elevated beyond human comprehension.

Church members are already preparing their finest white garments and strongest hallelujahs, with whispers that angelic choirs may make a surprise appearance, subject to visa clearance.
Meanwhile, theologians are scrambling to update their ecclesiastical flowcharts, as no one is quite sure where “Territorial Vice Chairman” fits on the biblical org chart. But sources close to the burning bush confirmed it’s somewhere between “Senior Prophet” and “Executive Apostle, Admin & Logistics.”
Pastor Okon, who has reportedly been in talks with heaven’s HR department for months, was unavailable for comment, but sources say he’s been practicing his “modest but firm” anointing handshake for the big day.
Stay tuned, more divine promotions may be announced, depending on tithes received and the Holy Spirit’s bandwidth.
