The Executive Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to investing in education and youth development as part of efforts to translate the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno into tangible opportunities at the grassroots.

The Chairman stated this while receiving representatives of the National Association of Ibeno Students (NAIS) from various chapters, led by the association’s Worldwide President, Comrade Saraphina Ulaetor.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the student leaders to present their aspirations and concerns, particularly in the areas of welfare, academic support, leadership development, digital skills and the creation of a more conducive environment for Ibeno students studying in different institutions.

Responding to the concerns raised, the Chairman assured the NAIS leadership that their issues had been heard and would receive the necessary attention of the Council. The Chairman also reiterated the administration’s determination to pursue practical interventions that would expand educational opportunities, strengthen student leadership and promote academic excellence.

The Chairman stressed the importance of equipping young people with relevant skills to compete in an increasingly dynamic world, noting that deliberate investment in education, welfare and leadership development remained critical to the future of Ibeno.

According to the Chairman, the success of Ibeno students today would ultimately contribute to the strength, development and prosperity of the community tomorrow.
