Akwa Ibom Police Celebrate Customer Service Week, Reaffirm Commitment to Community-Centered Policing

Uyo, The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has joined service-oriented institutions around the world in commemorating the 2025 Customer Service Week, reaffirming its commitment to professional, compassionate, and community-focused policing.

Marking the occasion under the global theme “Mission Possible,” the Command highlighted its people-first philosophy and its ongoing efforts to deliver responsive, respectful, and efficient service to residents across the state.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Commissioner of Police, CP Baba Mohammad Azare, fsi, expressed gratitude to the people of Akwa Ibom for their continued trust and cooperation. He emphasized that the Command remains dedicated to strengthening public partnerships through community policing, transparency, and a firm resolve to enhance security in all 31 local government areas.

“As we celebrate Customer Service Week, we recognize the importance of every interaction with the public. We are committed to ensuring that these engagements reflect the highest standards of professionalism and integrity,” CP Azare said.

To mark the week, officers across the Command’s formations have been instructed to increase engagement with community members, listen actively to their concerns, and implement feedback into service improvement strategies.

The Command also reiterated the importance of public participation in maintaining safety and security. Citizens were encouraged to remain vigilant, share timely information with law enforcement, and support efforts aimed at building a safer and more prosperous Akwa Ibom State.

The statement, signed by DSP Timfon John, LLB, Anipr, the Police Public Relations Officer, reaffirmed that constructive feedback remains a key component in the Command’s drive for service excellence.

Customer Service Week is celebrated annually to recognize the contributions of service professionals and highlight the value of quality service delivery in all sectors.
