Uyo, The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has extended warm congratulations to Comrade Nsibiet John on his election as Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council.
In a goodwill message, the Command described John’s emergence as a “well-deserved victory” and expressed confidence in his leadership capacity to advance the welfare of journalists in the state while fostering stronger ties between the media and security agencies.
The Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining a cordial relationship with the NUJ and emphasized the vital role of the media in promoting peace, security, and credible information dissemination in the society.
Comrade Nsibiet John, a seasoned journalist, was recently elected to steer the affairs of the NUJ in Akwa Ibom State, succeeding in a keenly contested poll that drew wide attention across the state’s media landscape.
The Command urged him to use his tenure to deepen professionalism, uphold journalistic ethics, and strengthen collaboration with law enforcement agencies for the greater good of the state.
