Comfort 95.1 FM, a prominent Uyo-based radio station, has once again brought pride to Akwa Ibom State as its reporter, George Iniabasi Essien, emerged Radio Presenter of the Year at the maiden edition of the Broadcast Organization of Nigeria (BON) Awards held yesterday in Lagos.
In a congratulatory message, accolades were extended not only to Essien for his outstanding performance but also to the Chairman of Comfort Radio, Distinguished Senator Effiong Bob, for fostering a professional atmosphere that empowers journalistic excellence.
“This award is a testament to the quality of talent and professionalism that exists within our media landscape,” the statement noted. “It is also a challenge to other journalists in the state to remain committed to fairness, objectivity, and nation-building through responsible reporting.”
