Senator Ekong Sampson Pays Final Respects to Late Engr. Emmanuel Ekpenyong in Oron

Senator Ekong Sampson, representing Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District, on Monday joined sympathizers in Oron to pay his last respects at the funeral of the late Engr. Emmanuel Ekpenyong, son of Hon. Alice Ekpenyong, Special Adviser to Governor Umo Eno on Cooperatives and Rural Development.

Hon. Alice Ekpenyong, a former colleague of Senator Sampson in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, received the senator and his delegation with appreciation during the solemn ceremony that brought together dignitaries, family members, and friends

Senator Sampson, the Onomkpoinam Mkpat Enin, described the late Emmanuel as “young, vibrant, and full of promise,” expressing deep sorrow at the loss. He offered prayers for strength and comfort to the grieving family and encouraged them to find solace in the impactful life the deceased lived.

The burial ceremony was marked by an outpouring of tributes from various quarters, highlighting the deceased’s professional achievements and the legacy of values he upheld.
