Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has issued a strong warning to newly appointed commissioners, urging them to avoid excuses, sluggishness, and disunity in the execution of their duties.
Speaking at their swearing-in ceremony, Governor Eno emphasized that his administration has no tolerance for inefficiency, reminding the appointees that their roles demand full commitment to delivering on the government’s vision.
“Let the echo of ‘Mkpo-Ibaha’ not resurface,” he warned, referencing a past era marked by complaints and unproductivity. He stressed that his government is focused on results, and any commissioner found wanting would be held accountable.
The governor also called for synergy among members of the State Executive Council, cautioning them against working at cross purposes. He urged them to align their efforts with the ARISE Agenda, ensuring that policies and projects directly impact the lives of Akwa Ibom residents.
Governor Eno’s remarks set a high standard for his new team, reinforcing his administration’s commitment to efficiency, teamwork, and tangible progress.
