Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Obong Victor Attah, has been appointed Chairman of the National Council of Elders of The Game Changer Group (TGCG), a move aimed at strengthening the organisation’s leadership and advisory structure.
The appointment was formally conveyed on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, when a TGCG delegation led by its Director-General, Alhaji Bolaji Raji, presented the appointment letter to the former governor at his residence in Uyo. Raji described Attah as a visionary leader whose decades of experience in public service and nation-building would provide strategic direction for the organisation as it advances its goals of promoting national unity, good governance and leadership development.

Responding, Obong Attah described the appointment as a “call to service,” expressing gratitude for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to deploy his experience in supporting the group’s vision and mentoring emerging leaders committed to Nigeria’s progress.
According to the organisation, the National Council of Elders will serve as its highest advisory body, offering strategic counsel and guidance on key national and organisational issues.
The brief ceremony ended with prayers and a group photograph to commemorate the occasion.
