Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has announced the suspension of its night vigils and directed that all church services across the country must end by 8:00 p.m., citing growing security concerns.
The directive, which takes immediate effect nationwide, was issued as part of measures aimed at safeguarding worshippers and church workers amid increasing reports of insecurity in various parts of the country.
According to the church leadership, the decision was taken after careful assessment of the prevailing security situation and the need to prioritize the safety of members attending church programmes, especially those held late into the night.
Under the new arrangement, all church activities, including regular services, meetings, and special programmes, are expected to conclude by 8:00 p.m. until further notice. The church also suspended overnight vigils and other late-night gatherings traditionally associated with its worship activities.
MFM urged members to remain vigilant, adhere strictly to the new guidelines, and continue to pray for peace and security across the nation.
The development reflects growing concerns among religious organizations and other institutions over the security challenges facing parts of the country, prompting several groups to review operational schedules in the interest of public safety.
Church officials assured members that the restrictions are temporary and will be reviewed as the security situation improves.
