Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reiterated the importance of peace and unity as the cornerstone for sustainable development in the state.

The Governor stressed that without a peaceful atmosphere, meaningful progress and governance would be impossible, noting that peace remains a collective responsibility among citizens and leaders.

Speaking on the need for harmony across communities, Pastor Eno emphasized that Akwa Ibom people naturally promote peaceful coexistence, which he described as the driving force behind the state’s stability and growth.
“In Akwa Ibom, we naturally preach peace, because without peace, there’s nothing anybody can do,” the Governor said.

He explained that peace creates the enabling environment for government policies and development programmes to thrive, while also encouraging investors and stakeholders to contribute to the state’s socio-economic growth.

Governor Eno therefore urged residents to continue to uphold the culture of unity and mutual respect, stressing that maintaining peace would guarantee sustained development and prosperity for the people of Akwa Ibom State.

He further reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fostering harmony and inclusive governance, assuring that the government would continue to promote policies that strengthen unity across the state.
