Senator Ekong Sampson, representing Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has congratulated the former First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Martha Udom Emmanuel, on the occasion of her birthday, describing her as an enduring symbol of service, humility and compassion.
In a goodwill message issued to mark the celebration, Senator Sampson paid glowing tribute to Dr. Emmanuel’s years in public life, noting that her tenure as First Lady was defined by a deep commitment to the welfare of citizens, particularly women and children.
The lawmaker commended the former First Lady for the far-reaching impact of her pet project, the Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Programme (FEYReP), which, according to him, significantly improved the lives of women across the state through empowerment programmes and social support initiatives.
