The CLEEN Foundation, Abuja, is set to conduct a three-day capacity-building workshop and training for executive members of the Akwa Ibom State Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) State Level Working Group, as part of efforts to strengthen justice sector reforms in the state.
The workshop, themed “Institutionalisation and Mentoring Sessions for the Akwa Ibom State ACJL,” will hold from Tuesday, February 10 to Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the ACJL Secretariat, Plot 51 G-Line, Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, between 10:00am and 12:00pm daily.
A statement issued by the State Level Working Group disclosed that a team from CLEEN Foundation will arrive in Uyo on Monday, February 9, 2026, ahead of the programme.
The training is strictly mandatory for only executive members of the ACJL State Level Working Group and is designed to deepen institutional capacity, promote sustainability, and enhance mentoring frameworks within the justice administration system in Akwa Ibom State.
Executive members expected to participate include the Chairman, DCP Joseph Udoh (rtd.); Vice Chairman, Chief Magistrate Helen Isang Umana; Secretary, Asuzu Nwamaka Joy; Legal Adviser, Barr. Comfort Udo; Advocacy Lead, Barr. Sampson Adula; Assistant Advocacy, Barr. Emmanuel; Media, Comrade Solomon Okpo; Treasurer, Kufremfon Bassey; Auditor, Barr. Clifford; Financial Secretary, Pastor David; and Assistant Secretary, Ubong Effiong.
The Working Group emphasized that attendance is compulsory and urged all listed executive members to formally acknowledge receipt of the information and ensure strict compliance, given the strategic importance of the workshop to the effective implementation of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law in the state.
The training is expected to further consolidate ongoing justice sector reforms and improve coordination among key stakeholders involved in criminal justice administration in Akwa Ibom State.
