Sen. Ekong Sampson Celebrates Mkpat Enin APC, PDP Members with Rice, Cash, Donates Utility Vehicles

Senator Ekong Sampson, representing Akwa Ibom South (Eket) Senatorial District, on Monday, December 29, 2025, hosted members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, where he shared rice and cash gifts in the spirit of Christmas.

The end-of-year gesture, which drew party faithful from across the local government, was aimed at strengthening unity and sustaining grassroots engagement ahead of the new political year.

During the event, Senator Sampson fulfilled his earlier pledge by donating utility vehicles to the office of the APC Chapter Chairman, Hon. Utitofon Jeremiah, as well as to the Mkpat Enin Traditional Rulers Council. The donations were received with appreciation by party leaders and traditional institutions, who described the senator’s actions as timely and impactful.

Addressing the gathering, the lawmaker assured party members and residents of Mkpat Enin of effective and responsive representation in 2026. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering people-oriented projects and providing critical infrastructure across the four clans that make up the local government area.

Senator Sampson emphasized that inclusive governance and sustained development remain central to his legislative agenda, noting that collaboration across party lines is essential for accelerating progress at the grassroots.

Party leaders and community stakeholders at the event commended the senator for his consistency and accessibility, describing the outreach as a demonstration of leadership anchored on service, compassion, and accountability.
