Akwa United Football Club have officially unveiled Paul Offor as their new Head Coach, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Uyo-based side ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The presentation, made public through the club’s official social media handles on Saturday, November 8, 2025, was Offor’s first public appearance since his appointment in August.
In a video shared online, the club introduced their new tactician with the caption:
“Coach Paul Offor steps in the man for the job! Let’s support our new Head Coach.”
A follow-up post showed Offor proudly holding Akwa United’s iconic orange home jersey featuring the logo of the team’s main sponsor, Ibom Air.
The club reaffirmed its confidence in Offor’s ability to steer the Promise Keepers back to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) after their recent relegation setback.

“With the new season on the horizon, Akwa United will be hoping Offor’s leadership marks the beginning of a successful return to top-flight football,” the club stated.
Fans of the two-time NPFL champions have expressed optimism that Offor’s appointment will bring renewed energy and tactical discipline as the team embarks on its promotion campaign.
The 2025/2026 NNL season is expected to kick off later this year, with Akwa United determined to make an immediate impact under their new manager.
