As the second round of the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) begins this weekend, Dakkada Football Club has arrived in Lagos with high spirits, set to face 1472 FC in a crucial fixture.
The match, scheduled for 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, is a matchday twelve encounter in Conference-A.
Speaking shortly after the team’s arrival, Head Coach Emmanuel Ntuk expressed confidence in securing a positive result. He attributed this optimism to the team’s extensive preparation and proper motivation during the mid-season break.
“The extended mid-season break allowed us ample opportunity to get everyone fit and fine-tune our tactics on the training ground. This, alongside the prompt payment of salaries, has served as both motivation and a foundation for optimism,” Ntuk stated.

The Uyo-born coach further emphasized the importance of securing three points in Lagos, highlighting its potential impact on Dakkada’s season ambitions.
Dakkada FC, the 2019 NNL champions, previously secured a walkover victory against 1472 FC in the reverse fixture. Currently sitting in seventh place with 14 points, the team is six points adrift of the playoff spots and maintains a nine-point gap from the relegation zone.
With the team focused on a strong second-round performance, fans will be eager to see if Dakkada can capitalize on their preparation and claim a vital away win in Lagos.
