Nigeria’s para-badminton star, James Akpan, has once again proven his mettle on the continental stage, winning three silver medals at the just concluded All Africa Para-Badminton Championship 2025.
Akpan showcased exceptional skill and determination across multiple events in the tournament. He secured silver in the Men’s Singles SL4 category, teamed up for silver in the Men’s Doubles SL3-SL4, and added another silver in the Mixed Doubles SL3-SU5 event.
The feat comes shortly after his recent triumph at the Abia Para-Badminton International Championship, where he clinched top honours and further cemented his status as one of Nigeria’s leading para-athletes.
Akpan’s performance is not only a personal victory but also a proud moment for Nigeria in para-sports, highlighting the nation’s growing presence on the international badminton scene.
