UYO, A wave of Christian revival is sweeping through Akwa Ibom State following the conclusion of the Street2Street Evangelism Crusade in Uyo, signaling a fresh momentum for spiritual renewal across Nigeria.
The five-month-long outreach, which took place at bus stops, markets, and other public spaces in Uyo, officially wrapped up this week with a visit to the Uma Ukpai Evangelical Auditorium. The event marked a significant milestone in the Street2Street Evangelism Movement, aimed at reaching people beyond the walls of the church.
Led by Dr. Moshood Ademola Fayemiwo, Chairman and Founder of The Jesus Christ Solution Center in Texas, the crusade drew support from Evangelist Solomon Okpo, Publisher of The Evangelist newspaper, and Rev. Fred Akinsuyi, who traveled from Switzerland to participate.
“We are bringing the Good News where it is most needed,” said Dr. Fayemiwo. “This is not just about preaching; it’s about restoring lives, transforming communities, and winning souls for Christ.”
Organizers say the initiative focuses on taking the gospel directly to the streets, engaging people in their daily environments to foster hope, healing, and spiritual transformation.
As the campaign prepares to move to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where a three-day outreach is set to begin Tuesday, participants and observers alike are hailing the movement as a timely call to moral and spiritual awakening in the face of Nigeria’s ongoing socio-economic challenges.
The Street2Street Evangelism Movement is already being described as a grassroots force for national revival, with its message of faith, renewal, and community impact resonating far beyond Akwa Ibom.
