NABTEB Records Improved Performance in 2025 June/July NBC/NTC Examinations

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has released the results of the 2025 June/July National Business Certificate (NBC) and National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations, showing a significant improvement in candidates’ performance compared to last year.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, announced the results on Thursday during a ceremony at the board’s Annex Office in Abuja.

According to him, a total of 92,875 candidates registered for the examinations across 1,892 centres nationwide, representing a 37.08 percent increase in enrolment and a 10.77 percent rise in examination centres compared to 2024.

Out of the candidates who sat for the examinations, 61,104 (68.18 percent) obtained five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics, while 74,633 candidates (83.28 percent) secured five credits and above with or without the two core subjects.

Performance in individual subjects also recorded remarkable improvement, with English Language achieving a 93.10 percent pass rate and Mathematics posting a 94.60 percent pass rate.

Dr. Mohammed noted that the overall performance in the 2025 examinations surpassed that of the June/July 2024 edition, describing the outcome as encouraging for both candidates and the board.
