Gov Fubara Pays Final Respects at Opobo Funeral, Receives Prayers for Peace in Rivers State

Opobo Town, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Saturday joined family members, friends, and dignitaries at the funeral service of the late Mrs. Bietonye Dimieari-Peterside, mother of Senibo Atonyesia Dimieari-Peterside.

The solemn ceremony held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Opobo Town, was marked by tributes and a strong show of solidarity from political and community leaders.

In attendance with the governor were Hon. Fubara Hart and Chief Theodore Georgewill, who together paid their respects to the Dimieari-Peterside family.

During the service, special prayers were offered for Governor Fubara, with the officiating clergy invoking divine wisdom and strength for his leadership, as well as sustained peace and development in Rivers State.

The event underscored the governor’s commitment to grassroots engagement and solidarity with the people during both moments of celebration and grief.
