Text: John 12:32 (KJV)
“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
Beloved, we live in a world overwhelmed by noise—ideologies, technologies, philosophies, and distractions. In all this, one name alone has the power to save, to heal, to transform: Jesus Christ. Today’s message is a divine charge: Lift Jesus Higher — not just in church, but in every corner of the world. It is our sacred duty to exalt Him, so that all may see, believe, and be drawn to the light of salvation.
1. What Does It Mean to “Lift Jesus Higher”?
To lift Jesus higher means to exalt, glorify, and proclaim Him openly in word and deed. It is not just singing louder or praying longer — it is living boldly for Christ in such a way that others see Him clearly through our lives.
Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
When people see Jesus lifted up in your life, they are compelled to glorify God.
2. Jesus Must Be Lifted Up in Preaching: The gospel must not center around personalities, prosperity, or politics, Christ must be at the center.
1 Corinthians 2:2 “For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”
Paul didn’t preach culture or self-help. He preached Christ crucified, risen, and returning.
3. Lift Him Up by Your Lifestyle: Your life is the loudest sermon someone will ever hear. Does it speak Jesus?
Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…”
A lifted Christ lives through us — in our love, our honesty, our humility, our purity.
4. Lift Him Up in Worship: True worship exalts Christ above self, sin, and systems.
John 4:24, “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
Worship isn’t a performance — it’s an overflow of reverence that lifts Jesus above all.
5. Lift Him Up to a Dying World: We must take Jesus outside the church walls, to homes, workplaces, social media, the streets.
Romans 10:14, “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?”
The world cannot follow a Jesus they have never seen. Let them see Him through you.
6. The Reward of Lifting Jesus: When Jesus is lifted, He draws all men to Himself. That’s the promise!
John 12:32, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”
You don’t have to manipulate, argue, or force. Just lift Him — He does the drawing.
Beloved, the hour is urgent. Our world is broken, our communities are wounded, our youth are distracted and the only remedy is Jesus Christ. But He must be lifted up in our churches, our conduct, our conversations, and our callings.
A question for you:
1. Will you lift Jesus in your workplace?
2. Will you lift Him in your home?
3. Will you lift Him in your city?
4. Will you be His witness wherever He sends you?.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, we surrender to Your lordship. Help us to lift You higher in every area of our lives. May the world see You through us and be drawn to the cross. Use us as vessels of light in a dark generation. Amen.
Till Next week, lift Jesus in your home!
