The Tinubu Umo Eno Support Organization (TUESO), led by the Coalition of Youth Leaders in Akwa Ibom State, has expressed unwavering solidarity with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Pastor Umo Eno, and the First Family in the face of renewed political distractions and emotional provocations.
In an emergency virtual meeting of its Central Working Committee, the organization reiterated its full confidence in Governor Eno’s leadership and pledged sustained support amid what it described as “deliberate attempts by detractors to revive painful memories” surrounding the loss of the First Lady.
Speaking at the meeting, the Convener of the organization, Pastor Micheal Joseph Okon, strongly condemned the renewed attacks, labeling them as “an age-long, malicious political tactic” that has no place in modern Akwa Ibom politics. “Targeting the family is a shameful low, reflective of desperation,” he stated.
Echoing the condemnation, the State Coordinator of TUESO, Hon. Dcn Idongesit Akaninyene, emphasized that some matters, especially involving grief and personal loss, should remain sacred and beyond politics. He appealed for restraint from political actors, adding that the First Family deserves empathy, not exploitation.
The Chairman of the Central Working Committee, Rev. Osondu Ahirika, PhD, urged stakeholders across the political spectrum to remain focused and resilient. “More distractions will come,” he warned, “but we must fix our eyes on the greater vision — supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Pastor Umo Eno’s development agenda.”
The organization called on all well-meaning Akwa Ibomites to join in prayer and support for the First Family during what it described as a deeply emotional and traumatic time. TUESO further expressed confidence that the people of Akwa Ibom will reject smear tactics and continue to support the Governor’s vision for a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive state.
“TUESO remains committed to its dual mission, to back the progressive leadership of President Tinubu nationally, and to ensure Pastor Umo Eno’s administration is not derailed by distractions,” the statement concluded.
