The June Edition of the Akwa Ibom State Government House Monthly Covenant Service held yesterday at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Uyo, with Governor Umo Eno inspiring the congregation through praises, dances and Bible readings.
At the service which had as theme, “God’s Divine Presence” taken from Exodus 33:12-17, the Governor read four inspiring Bible passages, Romans 8:31-37, 2 Samuel 15, Psalm 34:19 and Numbers 10:29-32, as words of inspiration to the congregation.
He appreciated those in attendance for sparring their time to be part of the service, and urged them to continually pray for the divine presence of God upon the leaders and the State in general.

Earlier in his exhortation, Rev. Dr. Godwin Amaowoh, the General Secretary of the Assemblies of God Nigeria, said no matter the storm or challenges of life, God’s divine presence makes the difference, adding that where there is divine presence, everything moves smoothly.
He described Governor Eno as a gift to Akwa Ibom State, stressing that the peace, unity and other successes recorded thus far are evidences of God’s divine presence with him and with the State.

The well attended service featured praises, worship, and choir ministrations while the Bible reading was taken by Mrs Jane Edidiong Ufot, second daughter of the Governor.
