Popular Spiritologist, gospel minister, and relationship coach, Dr Pat Akpabio, has announced her intention to contest for the governorship of Akwa Ibom State.
Speaking on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Comfort 95.1 FM Uyo during Mighty George’s 100-hour Guinness World Record attempt for the longest talk show on radio, Dr Akpabio made the declaration while addressing listeners.
“I wanted to contest the governorship election in Akwa Ibom State during the last elections, 2023, but I was asked to calm down because of zoning. But I tell you, when it is the turn of my zone, I will contest for the governorship seat in Akwa Ibom State,” she said.
According to the current political zoning arrangement in Akwa Ibom State, her district, the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, is projected to produce the next governor in 2031. This means Dr Akpabio’s governorship ambition will not materialize in the 2027 elections but is being positioned for the future.
Dr Pat Ibanga Akpabio, fondly called Princess Pat Akpabio, is the founder of The City of Praise Worldwide Prophetic Ministries, a global, multifaceted Christian ministry. She is married into the royal family of Sir Barrister Ibanga Akpabio, and their marriage is blessed with children.
Meanwhile, broadcaster Mighty George continues his ambitious 100-hour marathon broadcast on Comfort 95.1 FM, aiming to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest talk show on radio.
