UYO , A joyful atmosphere filled the air today as family, friends, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the naming ceremony of a newborn baby boy, Godswill Wisdom Oboho. The event was marked by heartfelt prayers, scriptural reflections, and expressions of deep gratitude to God.
The name Godswill, of English origin, meaning “the will of God,” was chosen to reflect a life aligned with divine purpose and heavenly intention. In a special prayer led by the baby’s grandfather, yours truly, Evangelist Solomon OKPO, the name was prophetically declared as a banner of destiny, grace, and favor.
Quoting Jeremiah 29:11, the grandfather reminded attendees of God’s promise: “For I know the plans I have for you… plans to give you hope and a future.” He further emphasized that Baby Godswill is a divine gift, whose path is ordained for greatness and purpose.
The spiritual tone of the ceremony was deepened with reflections from Romans 12:2 and 1 Thessalonians 5:18, encouraging all to embrace God’s perfect will and a life of gratitude.
In a moving moment of dedication, the grandfather prayed:
“Let God’s will be done in every area of this Baby, Godswill’s life, in his thoughts, actions, relationships, and future. May his name carry grace, open divine doors, and testify to God’s goodness.
The ceremony concluded with praise, thanksgiving, and celebration, as the family rejoiced in the new life and the divine promise wrapped in the name, Godswill.
