In a remarkable display of commitment to entrepreneurship and economic empowerment, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has fulfilled his promise to support Mrs. Ifeoma Itoro, a local food processor, by providing her with a fully furnished factory, essential equipment, and N2 million in working capital.

Mrs. Itoro, who had approached the Governor for assistance during the March 11, 2025, equipment handover ceremony for over 2,000 entrepreneurs at Uyo Township Stadium, was overwhelmed with joy as she received the much-needed support. Touched by her plea, Governor Eno immediately directed the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Dr. Ubong Inyang, to facilitate the establishment of her business.

On March 25, 2025, the Governor’s pledge became a reality as Mrs. Itoro received a fully set-up food processing factory, complete with state-of-the-art machinery. The financial support of N2 million was also provided to help her scale up operations.

Expressing profound gratitude, Mrs. Itoro showered prayers on Governor Eno and his family, thanking him for the life-changing intervention. The brief presentation ceremony was witnessed by the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs. Emem Ibanga.

Governor Eno’s action underscores his administration’s commitment to empowering small businesses and fostering economic growth in Akwa Ibom State.
