SEND-FORTH AND THANKSGIVING IN HONOR OF MRS. DOROTHY OGBAN ON HER RETIREMENT FROM AKBC

Today, March 17, 2025, marks a momentous occasion as AKBC Radio bids farewell to one of its most dedicated professionals, Mrs. Dorothy Ogban, who officially retires after years of outstanding service. As a hardworking and visionary Programme Director, Mrs. Ogban played a crucial role in shaping the content and programming that have endeared AKBC Radio and television to its audience.

Her commitment to excellence, creative ingenuity, and unwavering professionalism have left an indelible mark on the station. Through her leadership, she contributed immensely to the growth and quality of broadcasting, mentoring younger colleagues and ensuring that AKBC Radio and television remained a reputable voice in the industry.

In appreciation of her years of service, the management and staff of AKBC, alongside friends, family, and well-wishers, gather today in a send-forth and thanksgiving ceremony to honor her legacy. It is a day of gratitude for the impact she has made and a celebration of a well-deserved retirement.

This special occasion also coincides with the official resumption of the new Director General of AKBC, Mrs Imabong Udo who takes on the mantle of leadership to continue the station’s tradition of excellence. As Mrs. Ogban steps into a new phase of life, the AKBC family wishes her good health, happiness, and fulfillment in her retirement.
