Mfon Paul Bassey And Oritseweyinmi Cole Seal Love With Traditional Marriage In Benin

Love took center stage in Benin City as Mfon Paul Bassey, son of Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Sports, Elder Paul Bassey, traditionally wed his heartthrob, Oritseweyinmi Amanda Cole, on Friday, March 14, 2025. The grand ceremony, held at the prestigious Emporium Event Center, was attended by dignitaries, family, and well-wishers from Akwa Ibom, Edo, and Delta states.

The couple’s love story began three years ago in church, and their journey culminated in a culturally rich celebration that honored their heritage and commitment. Mfon, in an emotional tribute to his wife, described her as a brilliant engineer, his best friend, and a woman with a heart of gold. He expressed gratitude to God and their families for making their union a reality.

The event drew a high-profile guest list, including top government officials, sports administrators, and traditional leaders from across the country. The next leg of the ceremony, which is the solemnization of the marriage rites according to the doctrine of Christianity is scheduled to take place on Saturday March 22, 2025, handled by the Stand point Abuja, with a thanksgiving service to follow on March 23, 2025 at The Stand Point Church, Abuja, Nicon Luxury, Hotel
