Uyo, The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has lauded Governor Umo Bassey Eno for his steadfast implementation of the ARISE Agenda, a strategic framework aimed at transforming the socio-economic landscape of the state. Speaking during a press conference in Uyo on January 22, IPAC executives praised the governor’s efforts and called for political stakeholders to support his administration’s vision and embrace peace.
According to IPAC, the ARISE Agenda, which emphasizes Agricultural Revolution, Rural Development, Infrastructure Renewal, Social Welfare, and Entrepreneurship, has already yielded remarkable results, particularly in infrastructure development, rural empowerment, and sustainable economic growth.
“The ARISE Agenda is not just a campaign promise; it is a practical framework that has shown tremendous potential to uplift our people and position Akwa Ibom State as a model of development in Nigeria,” IPAC stated.
The council urged Governor Eno to remain resolute in pursuing his developmental goals and assured him of their unwavering support as a coalition of political parties committed to the progress of the state.

IPAC emphasized the importance of Governor Eno’s prerogative to appoint commissioners and other cabinet members, highlighting the need for a team of capable, credible, and competent individuals to drive the ARISE Agenda. The council appealed to political leaders and stakeholders to respect the governor’s decisions and set aside partisan differences for the collective good of Akwa Ibom.
“This is the time to rise above self-interest and work together to build the Akwa Ibom of our dreams,” the council noted.
Stressing that peace is critical for development, IPAC called on all political actors in the state to eschew actions and statements that could incite division or hinder progress. The council urged stakeholders to demonstrate maturity, tolerance, and respect for constituted authority, fostering a climate conducive to innovation, collaboration, and growth.
“Let us channel our energy into supporting the government and creating an atmosphere that encourages unity and progress,” IPAC added.
Reiterating its role as a bridge-builder among political parties, IPAC assured Akwa Ibom residents of its dedication to partnering with the government to achieve the goals of the ARISE Agenda. The council expressed optimism that collaborative efforts would ensure a brighter future for the state.
The press conference ended with a renewed call for peace, progress, and unwavering support for the state government’s development initiatives.
