The Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator (Dr) Akon Eyakenyi, has raised an alarm over the activities of fraudsters operating fake Facebook accounts in her name. These imposters are reportedly using these fraudulent accounts to defraud unsuspecting individuals seeking jobs or other forms of assistance from the state or federal government.
In an official statement issued by her Press Secretary, Omen Bassey, Senator Eyakenyi made it clear that she does not, has never, and will never communicate with anyone via Facebook or Messenger. She also emphasized that she has not authorized anyone to act on her behalf in such a manner.
The statement further advised the public to avoid engaging in any business or financial transactions on Facebook or Messenger with individuals claiming to represent Senator Eyakenyi or her office. Any such claims should be regarded as fraudulent.

The public is urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious accounts or activities to the appropriate authorities.
