Ibom Air has announced an ambitious revenue target of ₦150 billion for the year 2025, up from its projected ₦96 billion in 2024. The bold projection was disclosed by the airline’s Chief Executive Officer, George Uriesi, during the Ibom Air Travel Agents Forum held in Lagos.
Speaking to stakeholders and travel partners, Uriesi highlighted the critical role of travel agents, who were credited with contributing six percent of the airline’s 2024 revenue. In recognition of this support, several agents received awards for their performance over the past six months.
In a bid to scale operations and enhance visibility, the CEO revealed that Ibom Air will complete integration with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) by the end of 2025 a move that will significantly expand its international booking and operational reach.
To improve efficiency and reliability, Uriesi disclosed that the airline now maintains a standby aircraft, aimed at reducing delays and cancellations. “We are investing heavily in customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and route expansion,” he said.
As part of its 2025 growth strategy, Ibom Air will launch direct flights to three African cities Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), Douala (Cameroon), and São Tomé and Príncipe positioning itself as a key player in West and Central African aviation.
Equally strategic is the near-completion of the new Uyo terminal, which is being developed into a major hub for Africa-bound and regional flights. The facility is expected to bolster Akwa Ibom State’s status as a regional aviation gateway.
With a clear focus on aggressive expansion, customer satisfaction, and enhanced global connectivity, Ibom Air is poised to redefine the aviation landscape in Nigeria and beyond.
