UYO, The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly (AKHA) has officially received a list of Commissioner-nominees from Governor Umo Eno for appointment into the State Executive Council.
The list, contained in a letter from the Governor, was read at plenary today by the Clerk of the House, Mrs. Nsikak Orok. Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Udeme Otong, subsequently referred the nominations to the House Committee on Judiciary, Justice, Human Rights, and Public Petitions for further legislative scrutiny. The Committee is expected to report back within one week.

The nominees, drawn from various local government areas, include prominent political figures and technocrats such as Emem Ibanga (Nsit Atai), Alice Ekpenyong (Mbo), and Aniekan Umanah (Abak). Others on the list are:
