APGA Commends Governor Umo Eno’s Inclusive Governance, Calls For Broader Partisan Representation In Cabinet

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Akwa Ibom State has commended Governor Umo Bassey Eno for his commitment to inclusive governance as he begins the reconstitution of his cabinet following the recent dissolution of the State Executive Council.

In a statement signed by the State Chairman of APGA, Elder Umoudi Etukudo Essien, the party lauded the Governor’s efforts in running an administration that reflects the diversity of Akwa Ibom State. APGA expressed optimism about the Governor’s dedication to fostering unity and collaboration across political divides, describing it as a commendable approach to governance.

Highlighting the party’s readiness to support the government’s developmental agenda, Elder Essien stated that APGA is proud to have within its ranks individuals of integrity, capacity, and competence who are eager to contribute to the realization of the Governor’s Arise Agenda. The agenda focuses on key areas such as agricultural productivity, rural development, infrastructural renewal, social inclusivity, and economic empowerment.

“As a political party committed to the progress and prosperity of Akwa Ibom State, we reiterate our readiness to support the government of His Excellency Pastor Umo Bassey Eno in achieving the laudable objectives of the Arise Agenda,” the statement read.

The party also urged the Governor to extend his inclusive governance approach by appointing individuals across partisan lines into the new cabinet. APGA believes such appointments would strengthen unity among political stakeholders in the state and reinforce a government that represents the interests of all Akwa Ibomites.

Elder Essien assured Governor Eno of APGA’s unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in achieving sustainable development and delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Akwa Ibom State.
