Residents of Ikot Udota Village in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have appealed to the Akwa Ibom State Government, public-spirited individuals, corporate organisations and development partners to urgently intervene in the rehabilitation of a severely dilapidated classroom block at Government Primary Science School, Ikot Udota.
The community expressed concern over the deplorable condition of the school building, describing it as unsafe and unconducive for effective teaching and learning.

According to the residents, pupils and teachers are forced to study and work in an environment that poses serious safety risks, especially during the rainy season, thereby undermining the quality of basic education.
The people of Ikot Udota called on the relevant authorities and well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid by renovating the affected classroom block to provide a safe and conducive learning environment for the pupils.
They stressed that prompt intervention would not only improve educational standards but also secure the future of children in the community.
