Governor Eno Hails NUJ’s Partnership In Advancing Akwa Ibom Development –Pledges continued collaboration with media

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has received the newly elected leadership of the Akwa Ibom State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), reaffirming his administration’s commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with the media.

The new NUJ leadership, led by its Chairman, Comrade Nsibiet John, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor, who commended the union and its members for their professionalism and collaborative contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom State.

Governor Eno particularly applauded the journalists for their unwavering support in projecting the policies and programmes of his administration, especially the implementation of the ARISE Agenda, which serves as the blueprint for the state’s development.

He described the media as a critical partner in governance, noting that the union’s constructive engagement and responsible reportage have contributed significantly to informing the public and promoting government initiatives.

The Governor expressed confidence in the new NUJ leadership and urged members to sustain their commitment to ethical journalism, balanced reporting, and the continued promotion of peace, unity, and development across the state.

The visit underscored the cordial relationship between the Akwa Ibom State Government and the NUJ, with both parties reaffirming their resolve to strengthen collaboration in advancing the collective interest and progress of the state.
