A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Eseme Eyiboh, has thrown his weight behind the re-election of Ekong Sampson, representing Akwa Ibom South Senatorial District.
Speaking during a media chat with journalists in Uyo on Monday, Eyiboh described Sampson’s performance in the Senate as commendable, insisting he deserves another term to consolidate on his achievements.
He argued that if political stakeholders are rallying support for the second-term ambitions of Bola Tinubu, Godswill Akpabio, and Umo Eno, it is only fair and logical to extend the same backing to Sampson and House of Representatives member Okpolum Etteh.
Eyiboh stressed that equity and consistency in political support are essential, noting that progress often requires difficult but necessary decisions.
