Immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel, has appealed to Nigerians to put aside ethnic, political and religious differences and offer collective support to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in addressing the country’s mounting challenges.

Emmanuel made the call during an interactive session with journalists at the Pre-Service of Nine Lessons and Carol held at the United Evangelical Church, Surulere, Lagos. He stressed that the magnitude of issues confronting the nation demands unity of purpose and a willingness by citizens to rally behind the President.

According to him, this is not a moment for divisive rhetoric or actions that deepen national fault lines. Instead, he urged Nigerians to focus on confronting common threats by working with the administration to advance the country’s progress.

“This is not the time to dwell on factors that create divisions, the issues that expand the frontiers of our disagreements and further undermine our national unity,” Emmanuel warned. “Rather, as a people, we must pull together to confront our common enemies by giving every necessary support to President Tinubu to enable him face the challenges that are militating against the progressive movement upon which he has set our nation.”

The former governor also encouraged President Tinubu to stay committed to his reform agenda, expressing optimism that sustained effort and national cooperation would help Nigeria overcome its current difficulties and strengthen the foundations for good governance.
