The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has once again expressed his conviction that he will depart this world peacefully, without illness, on a Sunday after worship.
Addressing thousands of worshippers during the fourth day of the church’s International Convention, themed “The Overcomers”, Pastor Adeboye painted a serene picture of his final moments.
According to him, his passing will follow a Sunday church service and his favourite meal of pounded yam.
“I will die on a Sunday after attending service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then pass on without any sickness,” he said.
The revered cleric, 83, has made similar statements in the past, often describing his envisioned transition as a testimony of God’s grace and a model for a dignified exit from life.
His remarks sparked emotional reactions from congregants, with many interpreting the declaration as both a personal prophecy and a message of hope about a life well-lived in faith.
The RCCG International Convention, holding at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, continues to draw worshippers from across Nigeria and abroad, featuring sermons, worship sessions, and testimonies.
