GOV ENO URGES UNITY IN STATE-BUILDING, DEDICATES CHURCH AND TRIPLETS IN ONNA

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has called on citizens, particularly the political class, to prioritize collective development of the State over personal ambitions.

Governor Eno gave the charge on Sunday during the dedication service of the All Nations Christian Ministry International, ONNA Mission Field, in ONNA Local Government Area.

He emphasized that it is more rewarding to pursue victory for the State rather than seek self-popularity. Citing Judges 4:9, where Deborah foretold that the glory of defeating Sisera would go to a woman instead of Barak, the Governor urged citizens to adopt a spirit of service without selfish considerations.

The Governor commended the congregation and the building committee for their efforts in completing the Church project, praising the quality of work and timely delivery. He also dedicated a set of triplets born to Hon. Sunday Ekpo’s family, congratulating the parents and encouraging those facing delays in life to remain steadfast in faith, trusting God’s timing.

Earlier in her sermon, Bishop (Dr.) Enobong Essien, General Overseer of Gospel Foundation Mission, spoke on the theme of “activating divine capacity.” Drawing from Ephesians 3:20 and John 15:5, she explained that divine capacity enables believers to transcend natural limitations and achieve extraordinary feats through prayer, obedience, and faith. She commended Governor Eno’s selfless service and longstanding compassion, describing his leadership as a divine assignment to build and impact generations.

Also speaking, Lady Helen Eno-Obareki, Coordinator in the Office of the First Lady, thanked God for the Church project and the triplets. She expressed gratitude to the Ekpo family for immortalizing the late First Lady, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, by naming one of the daughters after her.

In their goodwill messages, the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi, representing the State Executive Council, and Engr.

Uwem Okoko, Managing Director of HENSEK Integrated Services, representing captains of industry, congratulated Governor Eno, the Church, and the family of Hon. Ekpo on the landmark occasion.
