In a strategic move to lay the groundwork for the Ibom Deep Seaport project, the Akwa Ibom State Government has commenced targeted skill development programmes for media practitioners and engineers.
Spearheaded by the Ministry of Special Duties in collaboration with the Ibom Deep Seaport management team, the initiative is designed to prepare local professionals for active participation in the state’s emerging maritime economy.
The capacity-building workshops underscore the administration’s commitment to ensuring that indigenous talent is fully equipped to drive and sustain the multi-billion-naira seaport venture. As construction draws near, the state positions itself for a transformative leap in logistics, commerce, and regional trade integration.
