Uwah Commends Progress on Eket LG Chairman’s Lodge Project

Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah, has expressed satisfaction with the progress of work at the Local Government Chairman’s Lodge in Eket.

Uwah made this remark on March 24, 2025, while inspecting the ongoing construction after representing the Governor on a condolence visit to the family of the late Barrister Umoh Ben Udowa in Eket.

Commending the project’s resource person, he emphasized the need for adherence to specifications and timely delivery. He reiterated that the initiative aligns with Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to ensuring that local government chairmen reside within their jurisdictions. Similar lodges are planned for construction in the other 30 local government areas of the state.

Accompanying the SSG on the inspection were Rt. Hon. Frank Archibong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Hon. Emem Bob, Commissioner for Finance; Hon. Eno Ibanga, Commissioner for Works; Rt. Hon. Iniobong Robson, Commissioner for Power; and Hon. Ikoedem Ekong, Commissioner for Labour and Manpower.

Also present were the Governor’s aides on Humanitarian Affairs, Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo and Mrs. Mfon Israel.
