Governor Umo Eno Buys 30,000 Free Tickets for Super Eagles’ World Cup Qualifier in Uyo

In a bid to rally massive support for the Super Eagles ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against the Warriors of Zimbabwe, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has purchased 30,000 tickets for fans.

The match is set to take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo. The free tickets will be distributed from 5 p.m. today, Monday, March 24, at designated centers, including all radio stations, De Venus Bar and Restaurant on Stadium Road, Uyo Township Stadium, Plaza Management Committee Office at Ibom Plaza, and previous ticket sales agents.

According to a press release by the Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Sports, Elder Paul Bassey, fans are urged to note that the tickets are free and should not be purchased from anyone. Only ticket holders will be granted entry into the stadium, and no tickets will be distributed at the venue. Additionally, all FIFA, CAF, and NFF regulations for international matches will be strictly enforced, with security agencies ensuring compliance.

Governor Umo Eno’s gesture is aimed at fostering unity and enthusiasm among citizens and residents, encouraging them to turn out in large numbers to cheer the Super Eagles to victory.
