In response to the popular demand of Akwa Ibom citizens, it has become evident that there is a growing consensus urging His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, to reevaluate the composition of his cabinet. This widespread call reflects the people’s desire for a refreshed approach to governance and a stronger focus on delivering results ahead of the 2027 elections.

Citizens across the state have voiced concerns about the effectiveness of the current cabinet, particularly the continued presence of some old commissioners who are perceived as no longer fully aligned with the governor’s vision and objectives. While acknowledging the contributions of these individuals in the past, the people believe that new ideas, innovative strategies, and dynamic leadership are needed to drive Akwa Ibom forward.

In light of this, the Akwa Ibom State Executive Council is encouraged to consider the following resolutions:

A deliberate effort to replace underperforming or long-serving commissioners with competent, vibrant, and visionary individuals who align with Governor Umo Eno’s agenda for sustainable development.

Prioritize the inclusion of younger professionals, women, and individuals with proven expertise to inject fresh energy and diverse perspectives into governance.

Strategically position the administration to deliver impactful projects, enhance transparency, and build public trust in preparation for the next electoral cycle.

The achievements of this administration will serve as the foundation for a compelling re-election campaign.

Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to transforming Akwa Ibom into a hub of innovation, industrialization, and social inclusion requires a team that shares his passion and drive. The demand for fresh hands is not just a critique of the past but a forward-looking call for a cabinet that embodies the aspirations of the people.

The state stands at a critical juncture, and decisive action on this matter will not only address the concerns of the citizens but also strengthen the administration’s legacy as one that listens, adapts, and delivers on its promises.
